Harmony: a legendary brand
Harmony is a name that evokes warm feelings in many musicians. The brand was founded in 1892 and is particularly famous for the very affordable, and often unique looking and sounding guitars that the brand produced. The greats of the earth often started their musical careers on a Harmony, such as Jimmy Page with his acoustic Harmony Sovereign. Harmony continued to produce instruments until the 1970s, after which the company petered out. However, the guitars did not become less popular. Over time, the guitars have acquired a cult following, and are highly sought after in the vintage/pre-owned markets for their unique looks and sound. Do you want an impression of the sounds? Check out the demo below which was played by Tom Groenendaal.
Bring back the Harmony!
But the brand is back, and how! Partly thanks to Edwin Wilson's initiative, Harmony is back on the market. We mainly know Wilson from his involvement with the Collector's Choice guitars from the Gibson Custom Shop. A well-known and relevant name. Back to Harmony, because the new models look incredibly beautiful, say. The new guitars are completely manufactured in the USA, and are a modern evolution of the old designs. For example, we see the contours of the Harmony Bobkat in the new Silhouette and all models are equipped with Custom Gold Foil pickups. And that, of course, is a big part of the magic of the old Harmony guitars.
Vintage vibe, modern take
Not everything about the new Harmony guitars is vintage inspired. All models are equipped with stable locking tuners and every guitar comes with a sturdy MONO gig bag. Now that's a good deal! In addition, every guitar is professionally checked by us and adjusted where necessary so that you can be sure that you are immediately ready for the stage. We are really impressed with the new Harmony Guitars and the new line they have introduced. We receive all Harmony models, so keep an eye on our website!
