The 1973 Gibson Grabber has always been an instrument that put wood first, and in Natural, that's literally true. The mahogany body in an untreated natural finish allows the wood to speak for itself, and the sliding mechanism of the single pickup gives the bassist direct control over the tonal character without using a single knob. Epiphone brings back the Grabber as a reissue true to the original.

The slideable single-coil pickup on a rail along the body is the defining feature of the Grabber. In the neck position, it's warm and full, ideal for groove playing with body and depth. Towards the bridge, the tone becomes tighter and more aggressive, positioning the bass excellently for funk, rock, and pop. This mechanical variability from a single pickup remains one of the smartest solutions ever applied to a bass.
