The Custom 24 in River Blue: Where PRS Heritage and Contemporary Tone Converge
The PRS Custom 24 is the flagship model with which Paul Reed Smith made his name, and this River Blue finish demonstrates why that model is still the benchmark after forty years. The combination of a mahogany body with a maple top gives this guitar a characteristic tonal profile: warm and full in the low registers, bright and articulate in the high strings.
The two PRS 85/15 humbuckers were designed by Paul Reed Smith himself and offer an exceptionally wide dynamic range. They respond precisely to your touch and sound equally convincing clean as they do with significant gain. Via the 3-way toggle and separate volume and tone controls per pickup, you have complete control over your sound. The 85/15s are particularly transparent: they color your tone but always let your own playing shine through.
The mahogany neck in a Pattern Thin shape is comfortable for long sessions without sacrificing precision. The rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, a 10" radius, and the distinctive Bird Inlays offers a familiar playing surface with just enough flatness for fast runs and bends. The PRS Patented Tremolo is stable and responsive, and the Phase III Locking Tuners keep the tuning in order even with intensive use. Set neck construction for maximum sustain and resonance.
The PRS Custom 24 River Blue is a guitar that convinces you not just with specifications, but with every note you play on it.
