The Jazzmaster that looks like it's been on stage for thirty years, but plays like new

The Fender Limited Edition Vintera II Road Worn '50s Jazzmaster in Fiesta Red is one of the most characterful offsets Fender currently makes. The Road Worn treatment is no gimmick: the aged nitrocellulose lacquer feels like a guitar that has been played for years, with that familiar intimacy you rarely find in a new instrument. The Fiesta Red color completes the package, a timeless color that always hits the mark on stage.

The sound is warm, woody, and full of character. The two vintage-style '50s single-coil Jazzmaster pickups deliver the broad, full tone for which the model is known: less sharp than a Strat, more body, with a crystal-clear high end that responds beautifully to dynamics. The lead/rhythm circuit gives you two preset sounds that you can switch instantly live, while the floating tremolo offers everything from subtle surf vibrato to deep shoegaze dives.

The late '50s C-shaped maple neck has a Road Worn nitrocellulose finish and a slab rosewood fretboard with a 7.25" radius and vintage tall frets, a combination that feels classic but is surprisingly playable. The scale length is 25.5" (648 mm), with 21 frets. Hardware is entirely nickel/chrome, featuring Fender vintage-style tuning machines, a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, and a butterfly string tree. The guitar comes with a hardshell case.

A limited edition you won't often encounter in this condition and color. For the enthusiast of vintage Fender DNA in a modern-built instrument.
