The Gibson L-00 Century proves that sometimes the smallest body tells the biggest story
The Gibson L-00 Century 12-Fret is an instrument that harks back to the roots of the acoustic guitar. Its small body, 12-fret neck-to-body joint, and short 24.75" scale length give this guitar an intimate, vocal character that you won't easily find in a dreadnought or jumbo. In Vintage Amber, it radiates the warmth of an instrument that has been around for decades, even though it's brand new.
The sound is focused and direct. The solid Sitka spruce top with X-bracing responds quickly to a light touch and produces a rich, layered tone with a prominent midrange that works particularly well for fingerstyle players and singer-songwriters. The mahogany back and sides add warmth and body without muddying the clarity. Due to the 12-fret construction, the body's center of gravity is different from a standard guitar, making the playing experience more relaxed and balanced.
The Slim Taper mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard has 19 frets and dot inlays on a 24.75" scale length with a 12" radius. The Rosewood Rectangle bridge and Closed Square tuners are authentically chosen for the vintage character of this model. Comes with a hardshell case.
For the guitarist looking for an instrument with character, history, and a tone that moves you.
