New to the PRS Core Line Up: The Modern Eagle V!

The Modern Eagle V has finally joined the Paul Reed Smith Core Line Up and that is cause for celebration. The Modern Eagle is one of the most coveted PRS models and we understand why; there are few guitars that are as progressive and innovative. For years, the Modern Eagle was only available in limited Wood Library or Private Stock versions, but that is now changing.

The star of the Modern Eagle V-Show is the pickup switching. Thanks to the five-way switch and extra toggle switches, the sound possibilities are virtually endless. The five-way switch has an intuitive layout: you can switch between the bridge, bridge+middle, middle, middle+neck and neck pickup. The two toggle switches switch the 2 humbuckers to single coil and as icing on the cake, the tone control is equipped with a push-pull pot to switch on both humbuckers at the same time. This means that you can even switch on all three pickups at the same time!

Of course, the Modern Eagle V has much more to offer than just clever pickup switching. As befits PRS, the body and neck are made of high-quality mahogany. And of course there is that amazing maple top, the trademark of every Core PRS! In terms of neck profile, the Pattern Profile was chosen: nice and sturdy and robust.
