This Heavy Relic 1959 Penguin from the Gretsch Custom is a real player with its Faded Daphne Blue Finish!

This Gretsch Custom Shop is both an absolute gem of a guitar and a real workhorse. The basis of this guitar is the White Penguin model, with its characteristic compact body shape and metal armrest. For the color we have chosen a timeless Faded Daphne Blue, with a heavy relic finish. What makes this guitar such a wonderful workhorse are the pickups and the flawless playability. The two Filtertron pickups have just a little more output than the average Gretsch, so that this Penguin can be used very widely. Thanks to the predominantly mahogany construction, this Gretsch also sounds a lot "fatter" than you might expect. Ideal for dirty rock or raunchy blues! With its Ebony fingerboard and comfortable neck, this Penguin also immediately feels familiar and smooth under your fingers. In terms of looks, this Gretsch also scores high; what do you think of the Gold Sparkle Binding along the body, the gold hardware - and pickguard! - and that super cool Cadillac tailpiece! Not unimportant: this Gretsch Custom Shop weighs less than 4kg. A real gem and a real player!
