The versatile signature guitar that carries Steve Lukather's musical DNA
The Music Man Luke III in Bodhi Blue is the result of years of collaboration between Ernie Ball Music Man and Steve Lukather, a guitarist known for his extraordinary versatility and direct, dynamic tone. This model combines a sleek modern design with exceptional playing comfort. The ergonomically shaped body, high-quality finish, and stable Music Man hardware make the Luke III an instrument that effortlessly performs in the studio, on stage, and in the rehearsal room.
The two DiMarzio Transition humbuckers deliver a broad and musical sound spectrum. From warm, round cleans to powerful overdriven sounds: the pickups respond directly to every nuance in playing while maintaining excellent definition. The custom Music Man active preamp with push/push gain boost gives you extra power when needed. The whole results in a guitar that is equally at home in pop, rock, and fusion as in the most demanding studio productions.
The Luke III is built with an alder body and a roasted maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 low-profile wide frets, and a scale length of 25-1/2" (64.8 cm). The neck radius is 12" (30.5 cm). Schaller M6-IND locking tuners and a Music Man floating vintage tremolo with hardened steel saddles ensure stable tuning and a smooth tremolo feel. The chrome hardware completes the package.
