The Martin OM-28 is one of the most legendary acoustic steel-string guitars ever made. With its compact size, fresh tone and incredible sustain, this instrument is a dream to play. The combination of a spruce top and East Indian rosewood for the sides and back is a traditional recipe that guarantees sparkling highs and deep, full basses. What is the difference between OM and 000?

At first glance you probably won't see the differences between the 000 model and the popular OM or "Orchestra" model. Both Bodyshapes are indeed almost identical, but the differences lie in the neck. The 000 has a man hour of 24.9", where the OM has a man hour of 25.4". And you can feel that difference: the string tension is lower with a 000, and all frets are a bit closer together. A second difference is the width of the nut: it is a fraction wider with an OM.
