The Gold Label 814e combines the warmth of the 1930s with Taylor's latest acoustic technology
The Taylor Gold Label series is an homage to the great acoustic guitars of the 1930s, and the 814e Sunburst is the finest proof of that. A Super Auditorium body with a slightly larger and deeper shape than the classic Grand Auditorium, a solid torrefied Sitka Spruce top that sounds like it's been played for years right from the start, and a Golden Brown Sunburst finish that completes the vintage vibe. This is an instrument that impresses both visually and sonically.
Torrefied Sitka Spruce is wood that has been treated with a special heat process, giving it the characteristics of a top that has been played for decades: open, dynamic, and with rich harmonic complexity. Combined with Honduran Rosewood on the back and sides, this produces a sound with deep basses, sparkling highs, and a wide spectrum of overtones. The Fanned V-Class bracing further refines this with perfect intonation and sustain that reverberates for a long time. The Action Control Neck makes it easy to adjust the string height for optimal playability.
The ebony fretboard features MOP Continental inlays and 20 frets on a 25.5" scale length. The Gotoh 510 Antique Chrome tuners with ebony buttons are both beautiful and stable. The LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system delivers a warm, natural amplified tone that is perfect for both stage and studio. Supplied with a deluxe hardshell case.
The Taylor Gold Label 814e Sunburst is for the player who seeks vintage character without compromising modern playability and technology. Come and play it and discover why the Gold Label series is in a class of its own.
