This Fender Baritone Telecaster gives familiar twang a deeper voice

A Telecaster that sounds lower but retains its recognizable character: the Fender 75th Anniversary Player II Baritone Telecaster Black lets you discover how much inspiration lies beneath the usual guitar tuning. This model from the Limited Edition 75th Anniversary Telecaster Collection combines the familiar Telecaster shape with a longer 27-inch scale length. The guitar is designed for B-to-B tuning, a quarter-step lower than a standard guitar. This gives you extra depth for heavy riffs, atmospheric accompaniment, and melodies that are just out of reach on a regular guitar. The black finish and black three-ply pickguard give this version a subdued look.

The two Player Series Alnico V Tele single-coils ensure that the low tuning remains clear and recognizable. Expect a solid low end, a musical midrange, and the sparkle that belongs to a Telecaster. The bridge pickup gives you that direct, cutting twang, while the neck pickup sounds rounder and softer. With the three-way switch, you can easily choose between both pickups or their combination. The longer scale length helps the strings maintain enough tension at this low tuning, so that chords and riffs remain clear. From country-style basslines to alternative rock: you don't need to learn complicated controls to find new sounds.

The alder body is finished with polyester and combined with a maple neck with a Modern C profile and a satin urethane finish. The rosewood fretboard has rounded edges, a 9.5-inch radius, and 22 medium jumbo frets for a comfortable playing experience. The synthetic bone nut is 42.8 mm wide. A string-through-body Tele bridge with six individual steel block saddles allows for precise intonation, while Fender ClassicGear tuners take care of the tuning. Master volume and master tone keep the controls straightforward. This Mexico-made baritone comes with nickel-plated steel strings in gauges .013 to .062.

Are you looking for a new register without saying goodbye to the Telecaster sound? Let this black Fender baritone make you hear your familiar parts from a different perspective.
