The Bourgeois Touchstone Hawaiian D Country Boy: Alaskan Spruce and Hawaiian Koa in a Limited Edition Dreadnought
The Bourgeois Touchstone Hawaiian D Country Boy Limited is a collaboration between Bourgeois and Eastman. The top-quality soundboards and bracing are made by Bourgeois and, after a personal check by Dana Bourgeois himself, are further built into an impressive guitar. This limited edition model combines a solid Alaskan spruce top with Adirondack scalloped X-bracing and solid Hawaiian koa for the back and sides.
Hawaiian koa is one of the most sought-after tonewoods in lutherie: it delivers a warm, rich tone with striking chatoyance that also makes the guitar visually special. The Alaskan spruce top with Adirondack bracing provides an immediate, dynamic response with an openness rarely expected from a new guitar. The dreadnought body ensures volume and projection, while the Hawaiian koa keeps the tone warm and balanced.
The mahogany neck with a V-profile, ebony fretboard with dot inlays, Schaller Grand Tune nickel tuners, and an ebony bridge with ivoroid pins complete an instrument that is perfect in every detail. 20 frets on a 25.5-inch scale. No pickup. Supplied with a hardshell case.
A limited edition Bourgeois Touchstone you won't soon forget.
