The 1957 Les Paul Custom Reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop revives one of the most luxurious models from the golden age of the 1950s. This All Ebony version combines the classic look of the legendary "Black Beauty" with the accuracy and build quality of the modern Custom Shop. Thanks to the Murphy Lab Light Aged finish, the guitar features subtle playwear and an authentic vintage look and feel.

The body is crafted from solid mahogany without weight relief, ensuring a powerful, full tone with abundant sustain. The glued-in mahogany neck with a '50s Rounded Medium C-profile offers a sturdy yet comfortable grip, while the rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays provides the luxurious appearance characteristic of the Les Paul.

For its sound, this reissue is equipped with Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers. These pickups are designed to emulate the warm, complex tone of original '50s PAF pickups. Combined with the classic 2 volume / 2 tone circuit and a 3-way pickup selector, this delivers a broad spectrum of vintage Les Paul sounds: from round jazz tones to powerful blues and rock.

The Murphy Lab Light Aging provides a subtly aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish and lightly patinated hardware. This makes the guitar immediately feel like a well-maintained vintage instrument, while simultaneously offering the reliability and playability of a new Custom Shop guitar.
