The Martin HD-28V isn't a guitar that screams for attention. It earns that attention through its sound, feel, and charisma. Built in 2013 to the specifications of pre-war Martins, this instrument is for the guitarist who knows what they're looking for: a rich, layered tone with character and depth that only a true Dreadnought can deliver. The Aging Toner finish and Bold Herringbone binding give it a timeless look that matches its tonal profile. This particular model is in very neat condition.

What distinguishes the HD-28V is the combination of a Sitka Spruce top with a Forward Shifted Scalloped X-brace pattern. This is the bracing Martin used in the 1930s, and it's responsible for the open, dynamic response for which vintage Martins are so beloved. The tone is warm and full in the low registers, clear and defined in the high strings, with sustain that you can feel. East Indian Rosewood for the back and sides adds depth and complexity to the sound profile.

The neck is made of Select Hardwood with a Modified V-profile, a shape that harks back to the classic pre-war playing experience and is particularly comfortable for fingerpickers and flatpickers. The ebony fretboard with Diamonds and Squares abalone inlays has 20 frets, and the scale length is 25.4". Nickel Grover tuners ensure stable tuning, and the bone nut and saddle provide optimal tone transfer. It comes with a Martin branded Geib style hardshell case.
