The Warm Audio Dirty Boy Jr Overdrive brings the character of the hand-built Dirty Boy Preamp to a compact and affordable effects pedal. The fully analog design functions as an overdrive, boost, preamp, or standalone amplifier simulator. This makes it a versatile choice for guitarists looking for a convincing amplifier response at home, on stage, and in the studio without having to bring along a complete amp setup.

Proprietary T.A.E. technology emulates the dynamics and harmonic saturation of a tube amplifier. Your picking attack remains tactile, while the tone ranges from a transparent boost to warm vintage breakup and solid distortion. With the Variac control, you can add sag, compression, and, if desired, gritty voltage-starved fuzz textures. The speaker-emulated output is tuned to a closed-back 4x12 cabinet with a Greenback character, making direct recording or connecting to a mixer, interface, or FRFR speaker sound surprisingly natural.

Gain, Tone, Volume, and Variac provide direct control over the sound. The pedal features a 6.35 mm instrument input, a standard amplifier output, and a speaker-emulated line output. Furthermore, the Dirty Boy Jr offers true bypass, an input impedance of 1 MΩ, and an output impedance of 6.5 kΩ. It runs on standard 9-volt center-negative power. With its metal housing, compact size of approximately 12.2 x 5.1 x 6.5 cm, and weight of 0.27 kg, this is a practical analog preamp for almost any pedalboard.
