The Benson Monarch Reverb Plus is the most complete Monarch that Chris Benson ever built. Just like the original Monarch, this model is the absolute creme de la creme of what can be found in the Boutique amplifier field. The amplifier and speaker are truly matched down to the last detail for the perfect voicing . This makes the Monarch equally suitable for both single coils and humbuckers - in all situations you retain an incredible amount of detail without bunching up in certain frequency ranges. In addition, you can use the amplifier tonally in several ways. Depending on where you place the volume control, the Monarch can do just about anything, from crystal clear cleans to hyper-saturated, tweed-like overdrive. The Monarch Plus adds a powerful power scaling feature that allows you to reduce the wattage. This way you can now use the Monarch at living room volume for the first time and it also means that you can overdrive the amplifier without having to play very loudly.
