The Bourgeois Touchstone D Country Boy: all-mahogany dreadnought with Alaskan spruce top
The Bourgeois Touchstone D Country Boy is a collaboration between Bourgeois and Eastman. Dana Bourgeois personally selects, prepares, and approves the soundboards and bracings, then sends them to Eastman for finishing. The result is a dreadnought that sounds and plays like a guitar many times its price.
The solid Alaskan spruce top with Adirondack scalloped X-bracing provides a direct, dynamic response with an openness rarely expected from a new guitar. The solid mahogany back and sides add warmth and a rich midrange, while the lows remain balanced and focused. The dreadnought body ensures volume and projection that fills any space.
The mahogany neck with a V-profile, ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, Schaller Grand Tune nickel tuners, and an ebony bridge with ivoroid pins complete an instrument that is perfect in every detail. 20 frets on a 25.5-inch scale. No pickup. Comes with a hardshell case.
The Country Boy proves that simplicity and quality go hand in hand.
