The Eastman AR805CE: where craftsmanship and Lollar tone meet in an instrument for life
The AR805CE is at the top of Eastman's archtop program, and you feel it as soon as you pick it up. The top, back, and sides are entirely hand-carved from solid spruce and solid maple. No laminates, no compromises. The result is an openness and dynamic range in the sound that only a fully solid instrument can deliver, combined with the warm, full sustain characteristic of a true Venetian cutaway archtop in a goldburst finish.
The Lollar Custom Wound Imperial Humbucker is specially tuned for this instrument and delivers a tone so natural and transparent that you forget there's a pickup in it. Warm in the lows, clear in the high strings, and with a dynamic response that fully adapts to your touch. Volume and tone are all you need. The maple neck with an ebony fretboard, 12" radius, and 25" scale length plays like a dream, and the custom inlay on the 12th fret is a subtle nod to this instrument's special status.
Gotoh gold tuners with ebony buttons, an adjustable ebony bridge, and a Venetian cutaway silhouette make the AR805CE an instrument you acquire for life. Supplied with a hardcase.
