The L-00 Original: Gibson's most revered small-body, now back in its original form

The Gibson L-00 has its roots in the early twentieth century, when Gibson perfected the small-body acoustic guitar as a concept. In the 1930s, Gibson described the sound of these small guitars as "perfect balance" – a description that still holds true. The L-00 Original is the modern translation of that ideal: compact in size, full in tone, and featuring the details that made this series great. The nitrocellulose Vintage Sunburst finish, the white script Gibson logo on the headstock, the subtle antiquing, and the Golden Age nickel tuners give the instrument an authenticity that new guitars rarely possess.

The Sitka Spruce top with traditional scalloped X-brace on solid mahogany back and sides delivers a balanced, warm tone that is particularly well-suited for fingerpicking, blues, and intimate songwriter work. The small body makes the L-00 comfortable and light, while the tone remains surprisingly full and resonant. No built-in pickup, so the acoustic integrity is completely intact.

The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper profile with a rosewood fretboard, MOP dot-inlays, and 19 frets over a 24.75-inch scale length with a 12-inch radius. Bone nut and saddle, TUSQ bridge pins, the rectangular bridge, and Golden Age nickel tuners complete an instrument that honors the rich L-00 tradition. Delivered with a hardshell case.
