Stunning recreation of Mick Ronson's 1968 Les Paul Custom, limited to 100 pieces worldwide!

Some guitarists are more than just musicians. They are architects of sound, pioneers of a style, and their instrument becomes part of a legend. Mick Ronson was one such musician. 🎸

Ronson was a producer, arranger, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist—and above all, an incredibly underrated and influential guitarist. His work with David Bowie changed music forever, from The Man Who Sold the World to Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane . But he also collaborated with icons like Bob Dylan , Van Morrison , Roger Daltrey , and arranged songs for John Mellencamp , Ian Hunter , and many others. As a producer, he made his mark on records by Morrissey and Roger McGuinn , among others, and co-produced Lou Reed's Transformer , on which he also played piano and guitar.

His guitar playing? Dramatic, melodic, aggressive, and unmistakable. With a keen ear for effect, he used wah pedals, fuzz, and echo to create a signature sound no one would ever forget. And then there's that famous 1968 Les Paul™ Custom, from which he stripped the ebony finish and gave it an iconic, unique look that has been associated with him ever since.

Now, Gibson Custom honors this legend with the Mick Ronson 1968 Les Paul Custom Collector's Edition —a loving tribute to Ronson's original Bowie-era Les Paul. Each guitar is handcrafted in Nashville with precision and attention to detail. From the playwear to the unique tone, everything is perfect.

Each guitar comes in a custom case, complete with a replica strap and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mick Ronson. And the best part? There are only 100 handcrafted pieces worldwide .
