The combination of two 58/15 LT humbuckers and a PRS Narrowfield in the middle makes the Special 22 one of the most versatile electric guitars in the PRS range. The 58/15 LTs are warm and open, while the Narrowfield gives the intermediate positions a clear, single-coil character that works excellently for clean and light crunch playing. Via the two coil split toggles, you can split both humbuckers individually into single-coil mode, for an extensive palette of tones without having to move a single cable.

The mahogany body and set neck in a Pattern profile are comfortable and fast. The rosewood fretboard with 22 frets, 10" radius, 25" scale length, and Bird Inlays plays smoothly across the entire range. The PRS Patented Tremolo and Phase III Locking Tuners keep the tuning stable. At 3.1 kg, the guitar is light and comfortable for any playing session.
