The Lionel is equipped with a passive Black Label split-coil pickup, a lightweight Alder body, Canadian Hard Rock Maple neck with pao ferro fingerboard and of course high-quality Sandberg hardware. But the eye-catcher on the spec sheet is of course the 30" scale, 4" shorter than a normal bass guitar. This provides a different playing feel because the whole thing feels a bit more compact, and you have to deal with less string tension.
