Sandberg California TT Passive Cream Masterpiece

The Sandberg California TT Masterpiece brings passive simplicity and your playing style together

The Sandberg California TT Passive Creme Masterpiece is a four-string bass guitar for lovers of a classic pickup combination and a distinctive finish. This version combines two Alnico single-coils with a fully passive design. The Creme finish with Masterpiece detailing gives the instrument its own identity, while the alder body and Canadian Hard Rock Maple neck provide a familiar foundation. It is a bass that invites you to shape your tone through your playing technique, rather than constantly searching for new settings on an active EQ.

The two single-coils offer different accents within a recognizable J-style tonal palette. The neck pickup emphasizes a round foundation, while the bridge pickup can add extra focus and articulation. By varying your attack and playing position, you can give a track more warmth or a clearer rhythmic character. The passive tone controls help you dial back the highs when a softer sound better suits the music. This makes this California TT appealing for soul and pop, but also for funk, rock, and studio work where nuance is more important than an abundance of electronics.

The neck is secured with six bolts and has a 34-inch scale length, or 864 millimeters. The maple fretboard has 22 frets, a 14-inch radius, and is fitted with white mother-of-pearl-style block inlays. Chrome-colored tuners complement the classic look of this version. The passive electronics keep the setup straightforward and leave room to further shape the sound with your amplifier. A gig bag is included for transport to rehearsals, studio sessions, and performances.
