The Supro 1608R Montauk is a 15-watt Class A tube combo that offers plenty of headroom in a portable size, thanks to its independent Volume and Master controls. The two-band EQ makes it easy to dial in clarity and warmth. Whether you are choosing your first amplifier or have been playing for a while, the Montauk lets you discover how volume, gain, and tone controls shape your sound.

With the Supro BD10 speaker, custom-built by Celestion, the tone ranges from sparkling clean to saturated overdrive. The tube-driven spring reverb adds depth and can be adjusted to taste with Level and Dwell controls. This allows you to place the reverb subtly behind your sound or make it more prominent. The combination of simple tone controls and responsive tubes makes it easy to try out different styles and picking techniques.

The preamp uses two 12AX7 tubes and one 12AT7; the power amp features one 6L6. Controls include Volume, Treble, Bass, Level, Dwell, Master, and Mix Out Level. The three line outputs are driven before the Master control and are intended for connection to another amplifier or a recording console. The Montauk does not have an effects loop. For external speakers, there are one 8-ohm and two 4-ohm speaker outputs.

The cabinet is made of poplar and finished with the striking Blue Rhino Hide covering. With dimensions of 45 x 42 x 19 cm and a weight of 13.1 kg, the Supro 1608R Montauk remains a compact combo with a serious tube configuration.
